POSITION DESCRIPTION
This remote role is responsible for successfully leading software engineering teams to help clients realize their vision and optimize business results through the design and delivery of custom digital transformation solutions. You will interface with key client stakeholders to translate vision and business requirements into solutions and to mobilize high performing teams in successful solution delivery by leveraging best practice engineering, agile software development and project management processes. As an engagement manager, through project oversight, you’ll be the primary point of contact for managing, building, and maintaining positive client relationships and will work closely with sales and delivery teams to grow business within existing accounts. In addition, you may from time-to-time wear multiple hats to also play the role of a business analyst, quality assurance and/or trainer in the delivery of client solutions. Demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Deep understanding of agile software development. Be self-motivated, organized, and able to multi-task.
POSITION RESPONSIBLITES
- Lead successful delivery of client projects within defined budget, schedule and scope with outstanding client satisfaction using the Flatirons methodology, which is a combination of engineering, agile software development and project management best practices
- Facilitate workshops to crystallize business goals and objectives, define as-is and to-be business processes, and to define business requirements as user stories with acceptance criteria
- Facilitate release and sprint/iteration planning, daily stand-ups, iterative TDD (test-driven development), backlog grooming, demonstrations, retrospectives, systems integration testing, UAT (user acceptance testing), training and production go-live
- Manage project schedules and critical path using industry leading agile development tools such as Rally to manage user stories with acceptance criteria, timeboxes, tasks and test cases, and to manage team workload to optimize team capacity and velocity
- Identify, track and mitigate issues and risks, and manage defects
- Proactively identify, build mitigation and contingency plans, and actively manage issues and risks
- Assist project team and client sponsor with socialization of key initiative success factors and project output
- Deliver regular internal and external project status reports to key stakeholders and executives
- Lead integrated project teams resulting in outstanding client and internal delivery team satisfaction
- Accurately plan, track and manage project financials and resource requirements
- Work closely with finance on month-end invoicing and AR management
- Use metrics and data to effectively measure impact and to evaluate success of initiatives
- Work with sales and project delivery teams to perform strategic account planning, grow business within existing account, and to prepare proposals and project changes requests
- Provide input to Marketing and Product Management regarding client requirements, potential new features, effective messaging and product positioning
- Contribute to company operational excellence initiatives for continual process improvement
- Other duties as assigned/required
ABILITY
- Demonstrated experience and ability in navigating large complex organizations, i.e., Fortune 500 companies with initiative examples driving change across segments, LOBs and departments
- Demonstrated engagement management or project management experience with track record of leading the delivery of technical enterprise level solutions in a professional services capacity
- Experience in leading solution delivery across multiple industries is a plus (desired experience in Financial Services, Health Care, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Government).
- Ability to build and maintain strong and productive working relationships with customers/clients, including the ability to establish client trust
- Agile, lean software development experience and certified scrum master
- Self-directed, with the ability to plan and manage your own activities
- Excellent facilitation skills are required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management and relationship management skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Process-oriented
- Experience with journey mapping and user experience design is a plus
- Ability to multi-task, meet fixed deadlines and manage under pressure

- Extremely collaborative and team oriented
- Strong understanding of IT and agile software engineering processes
- Present knowledge of various content technologies such as Documentum, Intelligent Capture / Captiva, InfoArchive and MarkLogic a plus
- Experience with agile software development tools, such as Rally
- Working knowledge of common software applications and uses, including MS Windows Operating Systems and MS Office Applications, as well as Zoom, MS Teams, etc.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time as required by business needs.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar position within enterprise technology consulting services.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or experience in related field are preferred.

Base pay salary range based on experience and budget is $100k-$125k+
