Position Summary 

Seeking an Estimator/Project Manager/Draftsman for our millwork group. Mid-level position to manage all aspects of construction project execution from preconstruction services through final project closeout. This position is typically based in the Maumelle office and includes concurrent multi-project responsibility. The primary objective of this position is to support the preparation and delivery of pricing deliverables. This position receives direction from a Senior Project Manager. Additionally, this person will coordinate with management on assigned projects. Operates Auto CAD to produce clear and technically accurate shop drawings for the manufacturing of millwork based on customer specifications and within strict project deadlines.

General Duties:

Include but are not limited to:

• Contribute to pricing of competitive bid and negotiated deliverables as follows:
• Analyze and identify scopes of work from existing conditions, plans, and specifications through all phases of document deliverables.
• Perform quantity takeoffs quickly and accurately.
• Assist with subcontractor solicitation.
• Communicate with owners, architects, and engineers to clarify scope of work.
• Communicate project information and scope of work to shop.
• Analyze subcontractor pricing.
• Assist with compilation of owner deliverables.
• Understand and communicate cost variances between estimates.
• Contribute to value engineering efforts.
• Build relationships with contractors.
• Use Auto CAD software to create detailed technical drawings from cut sheets, prints, sketches, scanned images, and customer supplied data and documents.
• Generate CNC machine programs for applicable equipment.
• Attend industry functions and represent CDI in a professional capacity.
• Stay current with advances in estimating technology and techniques.
• Provides essential support during preconstruction for cost estimating and collaboration with architects/contractors to finalize construction documents, and to project superintendents during construction – all to ensure seamless project delivery services.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience in Millwork or related field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications with a strong attention to detail.
• Computer literate with experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Auto Cad.
• General understanding of competitive bids and negotiated processes.
• Working knowledge of estimating technology and tools.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative office environment.
• Cabinet Vision and Alphacam knowledge is a plus.
