Responsibilities:
Under the direction of a Department Manager the duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Perform Firefighting Inspections per USCG, FLAG STATE, CLASS and NFPA Codes
- Understand the “Scope of Work” for all inspections
- Manage customer expectations to maintain excellent customer relations
- Utilize smart device application to manage / schedule inspection documentation
- Document required deficiencies and items required for repair
- Complete all required paperwork and upload to data base
- Lift and move equipment and tools weighing up to 300 pounds as needed
Required Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Lead Marine Tech
- Installation Experience with Suppression Systems
- Prior fire alarm experience
- Ability to perform annual firefighting inspections
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
- Texas State Fire Marshal license for Fire Alarm, Fire Extinguishers, Suppression
- Working knowledge of test equipment
- Effective customer service and communication skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Good time-management skills
- Ability to work well with others
- TWIC Card Holder
Other:
- MUST have minimum high school diploma/GED
- MUST have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to life and move equipment and tools weighing up to 300 pounds
- Must be able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment
- Must be able to work a full-time schedule
- Overtime maybe required with a short notice.
