Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain highest level of confidentiality, customer service, and professionalism to promote a positive image of the company

Willingness to travel as dictated by projects

Support project research and development for Farmers Union Industries and Farmers Union Enterprises (ownership group)

Lead projects to ensure alignment of organization’s strategic/operational targets, and overall business objectives 

Lead projects to complete on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency by appropriately aligning resources

Conduct cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project

Develop and utilize project planning techniques to communicate timelines and report on progress

Prepare and implement a budget based on estimate

Conduct risk assessments; report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project, if appropriate)

Participate in negotiating agreements with consultants and subcontractors

Attend meetings with various engineering disciplines, clients and regulatory agencies

Act as liaison between company, customers, and vendors; address questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project

Complete project documents as required

Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions

Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and industry regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices

Qualifications

BS degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field, preferred

 

5+ years of experience in Project Management, or related field

 

Project management certification, highly desirable

 

Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

 

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

 

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project Management Software related software; ability to read and understand blueprints, required

 

Experience in an agriculture manufacturing environment a plus

 

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to manage resources according to changing needs and meet deadlines

 

Travel based on project location and needs
