POSITION SUMMARY: 

This position is a senior role with key responsibilities of overseeing our solar division to ensure our strategic plans are executed and communicated to all stakeholders while providing a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of our clients. Managing internal systems such as, quality control, production, and a three-week look-ahead to proactively coordinate and identify potential issues while maintaining a safety-first culture. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct responsibility for managing planning process of assigned projects.
  • Must have the ability to develop a constructional estimate for assigned projects while managing the constraints of the project, which are cost, time, scope, and quality
  • Ability to develop and update our schedule based on the contracted milestones and budgets of the projects assigned. 
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with all project team members to ensure all project objectives are successfully achieved.
  • Defining and planning the contracted project scope into short term task or goals.
  • Ability to verify Safety Requirements, Work Progress, and Quality Control standards are met. 
  • Train/Develop assigned staff
  • Procurement of the project and development of the sites specific logistic plan that includes off site prefabrication.
  • Direct responsibilities for project documentation that includes but not limited to the following:
    • Submittals
    • Change Orders
    • Request for Information (RFI’s)
  • Maintain all internal and external project files and documentation in an organized fashion.
  • Ability to provide “cost to complete” projections on assigned projects. 
  • Assist with the develop a three-week look ahead that forecast Tools, Equipment, Information and Manpower needed to meet the project goals 
  • Ability to develop a task plan based on the requirements of the project 
  • Interpret company policies to workers.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, and/or assist assigned team members in solving work problems. 
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions (promotions, transfers discharges, and disciplinary measures).

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Firm understanding of project management processes and tools.
  • Working knowledge of engineering design, procurement, and construction practices and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of project management cost systems.
  • Working knowledge of project scheduling concepts, techniques, and software  
  • Working knowledge of office productivity software such as MS-Office suite, including advanced use of MS-Excel.
  • Multi-project execution experience.
  • Solar construction experience preferred BUT NOT required.   
  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical project management and/or related construction management.   
  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent in work experience. 
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Thorough knowledge of the NEC is preferred. 
  • Bi-Lingual is preferred BUT NOT REQUIRED.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work 40 hours per week, overtime as required.   
  • Work out of town as required  
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (Hard hat, vest, protective eye wear, safety boots.) 
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind. 
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements and background screening process.
