As a Project Process Engineer, you will lead complex projects involving innovative process engineering evaluations, testing, permitting, design, and implementation projects, for water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? We expect that you’d work on a variety of challenging technical projects and leverage your existing relationships to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities.
- Performing and overseeing detailed process engineering design;
- Applying innovative treatment processes for mitigating traditional and emerging contaminants;
- Developing work plans for sampling, feasibility study evaluation, and design basis development;
- Developing technical reports;
- Developing engineer’s cost estimate analysis for treatment systems;
- Performing permitting support with local, regional, and national permitting agencies;
- Developing construction documents, including bid forms and technical specifications;
- Field investigations and construction support services;
- Directing internal and external multi-disciplinary project teams;
- Interacting with client representatives and regulatory representatives;
- Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments;
- Supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; and
- Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
Based on your current level of experience, you may be asked to take on task-level or project management responsibilities, along with business development, and staff mentoring tasks.

- Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, CPR training, and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
- Fieldwork: Up to 10%
- Overnight travel: Up to 10%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, environmental, or civil engineering, with emphasis on process engineering or closely related discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) in chemical, environmental, or civil engineering, with emphasis on process engineering or closely related discipline. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E.). (required)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 7 years of research or related experience, or equivalent combination of advanced degree education and experience. (required)
- Experience with modeling and design software tools such as InfoWater, WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, GPS-X, Biowin, and AutoCAD. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
