Position Summary:

CDI Contractors is looking for a Project Scheduler in our Little Rock office. The qualified candidate will work directly with the Superintendent teams to develop, maintain, and progress schedules for multiple projects. Also, the scheduler will work closely with Sr. Superintendents, estimators, project managers and project engineers to support scheduling activities and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and reporting to the Project Owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduler must be able to develop a project schedule that identifies activities, relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints
  • Scheduler must be able to read construction drawings and develop a project schedule
  • Scheduler must be able to perform schedule time impact analysis for any changes that impact and or affect the contract schedule and perform recovery schedules
  • Schedule must be able to perform QA/QC reviews on a regular basis
  • Schedule must be able to perform Critical Path Analysis
  • If required, the scheduler must be able to walk the jobsites to check that the site progress matches the schedule updates.

Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years of Commercial Construction Superintendent or related experience...
  • …Or; Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Mgt or Engineering (or related degree).
  • Advanced experience with means/methods & processes of building commercial construction projects.
  • Knowledge & experience with Scheduling projects:
    • Developing schedules
    • Day-to-day managing of schedule sequences
    • Success in holding trades accountable for achieving scheduled duration.
    • Schedule software proficient
  • Experience as Superintendent in one, or more, of the following construction markets:
    • Retail
    • Healthcare
    • Office
    • Cultural (Churches, Theatrical, Museum)
    • Government/City/Miltitary
    • Higher Education
    • Industrial/Public Works
    • Hospitality
    • Athletic Facilities
    • Banking


Other Requirements:

  • Advanced Written Communication / Documentation / Organizational skills.
  • Outstanding Verbal Communication skills (interaction with clients, & with managing your field operations).
  • Ability to study, understand & communicate a project’s plans & specs.
  • Skilled in Team Leadership & Motivating others.
  • Skilled in holding trades accountable for schedule & contractual obligations.
  • Desire to invest in the career development of other team members.
