The DEI Manager will be responsible for working closely with the VP and Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, DEI Community, and business leaders to implement the APi’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy across the organization in support of the APi’s business goals and core values. The DEI Manager will help to drive and support awareness, understanding, learning and engagement across the organization and build external and internal partnerships to further support these efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with CDEIO to build upon and execute a multi-year diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) roadmap
  • Partner with our People team to define and track metrics related to DEI initiatives and employee sentiment
  • Work closely with the DEI Community to plan and manage events, content, programs, and speakers
  • Facilitate events and trainings to educate and develop DEI skills
  • Take ownership and accountability for short-term and long-term goals to achieve best-in-class, metric-oriented, results
  • Represent the company at events and during external discussions with customers and
  • Conduct and analyze industry program benchmarking for DEI initiatives and creating action plans to optimize company performance
  • Host or participate in internal and external meetings, prepping for a training, content development, facilitating a workshop, collecting data for a DEI assessment, corresponding with our team, and collaborating with other team members as needed for various projects.
  • Build strong relationships with multiple levels within the company

Qualifications

  • Preference for 5+ years total work experience with 3+ years working to implement a mix of diversity, inclusion, anti-bias, gender equality, or allyship programming
  • Proven experience developing and executing DEI programs and coordinating actionable feedback
  • Experience working with sensitive people data
  • Strong program and project management skills
  • Preference for knowledge and experience in Organizational Development and/or Organizational Psychology

Competencies and Skills

  • Strong Emotional Intelligence skills to navigate client relationships
  • Strong understanding of effective facilitation methodologies and tools
  • Required to accommodate East Coast (EST), West Coast (PST), Europe (UTC) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) time zones
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in administering or coaching cultural assessments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically with the ability to receive and provide feedback, reflective and active listening
  • Exceptional client-focused solutions experience/customer service skills
  • Ability to facilitate in-person and remotely
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while also working as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • Passion for working with all diversity dimensions
