TALENT ACQUISITION PARTNER/RECRUITER

We are in growth-mode and looking for an energetic, passionate Talent Acquisition Partner/Recruiter to support our strategic priority of growing our team!  You will be responsible for executing a full-cycle enterprise talent and recruitment strategy that aligns with McGough's goals, while ensuring that ongoing and future organizational talent needs are met.  In addition to talent recruitment, this role is responsible for:

  • Overall talent recruitment success
    • Successfully coordinates the hiring process to ensure consistency and efficiency
    • Supports and works with the Hiring Managers
    • Candidate satisfaction
    • Influence our social media strategy in partnership with our Marketing team
  • Works closely with Human Resources to build and execute the company’s workforce pipeline strategies
  • Attends job fairs and events
  • Oversee campus recruitment strategy for company
  • Manager McGough's Internship Program
  • Foster and build relationships with prospective new talent, internal employees, outside networks, recruiters and search firms

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3-5 years of related experience with an emphasis in technical recruiting or sourcing
  • Experience with full life cycle recruiting process
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of creative and innovative sourcing techniques
  • Capacity to coordinate multiple tasks and recruit for multiple positions to meet deadlines
  • Talent to establish rapport and effectively advise all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work with confidential data and maintain privacy
  • Ability to professionally voice concerns and effectively deal with conflict
  • Positive can do attitude and continual learner
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs

Preferred:

  • Experience hiring in the construction industry
  • Network connections in the construction industry, unions and community organizations within the Twin Cities area
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems

Office and Travel:

Office: Primarily works in corporate office in Roseville, MN.  Flexibility to work from home as well.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Candidate/talent pool communications, branding and employment 

  • Works with Senior Vice President of Human Resources (HR) and Marketing team to proactively communicate culture, values and job opportunities using a variety of social media channels including but not limited to websites, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Determines hiring manager and organizational needs for each role 

  • Fully understands recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with hiring managers to discuss needs
  • Consult with hiring managers on talent market information, hiring trends and recruiting best practices 
  • Performs hiring needs analysis meetings with SVP of HR and hiring managers
  • Assists in writing job descriptions and performing market and compensation analysis as needed
  • Forecasts hiring and budget needs annually

Candidate sourcing and screening 

  • Utilizes advanced recruitment and sales skills while continuously innovating with new ideas to attract talent 
  • Uses both traditional and non-traditional resources and a network of established contacts to identify and attract talent, find potential candidates, screen them, and recommend most qualified options 
  • Helps to identify what resources should be used to attract passive and active candidates in the construction industry 
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community organizations, higher education establishments, search firms, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport
  • Develops and maintains a network of professional candidates to be sourced via online talent community
  • Develop and implement candidate sourcing that encourage and supports diversity and inclusion 
  • Conducts initial interviews, make recommendations to the hiring manager and coordinate interviews with hiring manager and interview team

Manages candidate information 

  • Via reporting and communications in applicant tracking system 
  • Builds strong relationships within the office network he/she supports to be viewed as a trusted partner 
  • Coordinates all pre-hire activities and onboarding with the Director of Human Resources related to the hiring process

Continuously improves processes 

  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks
  • Identifies and helps lead initiatives that drive hiring efficiencies and improvements to our recruitment efforts
  • Tracks and maintains all recruiting metrics including, but not limited to, interviews per hire, cost per hire, performance of new hires, turnover rate for company and departments, as well as onboarding feedback

Manages and oversees all recruiter/search firms 

  • Acts as the main contact for all recruiter/headhunter firms, removing this role from all hiring managers to ensure consistency in process.  Ensures Vice President of HR looks over terms of the agreements
  • Assesses fit as well as performance of all recruiter/search firms to ensure best-fit and best-performing firms are hired when needed

 Higher Education talent acquisition and outreach 

  • Partners with Campus Recruiters to attract new talent from higher education establishments
  • Resources may include but are not limited to college programs, community networking, career fairs, online sources advertising/marketing programs and digital/social media

 McGough Internship Program

  • Works with leaders throughout the organization to source, recruit, screen, interview, coordinate & schedule interviews for summer internships
  • Proactively assesses organization's intern needs then communicates and markets internship opportunities at higher education establishments and social media platforms
  • Once interns are hired, ensures all interns are oriented and onboarded appropriately
  • Organizes Intern Boot Camp
