We are currently seeking candidate for the role of Vice President, Global Compliance. The leader in the Vice President, Global Compliance role will be an integral part of the leadership team, ensuring an effective enterprise-wide privacy and compliance program, and reports to the SVP and General Counsel.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to 1) a comprehensive global privacy plan meeting global standards and 2) a compliance program meeting the U.S. Sentencing Commission’s effectiveness requirements
  • Collaborate with the Business Units, IT, HR, Finance, and other enabling functions to develop strategies for the efficient and effective operation of the global privacy plan and compliance program
  • Monitor company compliance with data protection regulations in all applicable jurisdictions (including the EU, UK, Canada, Asia, Australia, non-EU European jurisdictions, the US and others)
  • Collaborate with company affiliates and corporate departments for the development of appropriate polices and investigation and resolution of compliance issues. Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved
  • Oversee the development, communication, and revision of company privacy and compliance policies and procedures
  • Oversee the development and delivery of privacy and compliance training and periodic activities to maintain the robustness of the privacy and compliance programs
  • Ensure that corporate data collection, storage and protection programs are consistent and comply with legal requirements
  • Conducting privacy reviews of information technology application requests and data requests involving personal or sensitive information
  • Overseeing the completion and maintenance of data privacy impact assessments on systems and projects that use, collect, disclose or store personal or sensitive information

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant leadership experience in a compliance role for a multinational corporation, preferably publicly traded and North America based
  • J.D. and/or a relevant certification such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), or similar certification is a plus.
