Responsibilities:  

  • Support the Corporate Controller’s office in all areas.
  • Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for corporate entities.
  • Assisting with monthly close processes.
  • Accounting for intercompany transactions, investments and notes as well as preparing consolidation elimination entries.
  • Assist with tie-out and disclosure support for various Company filings (10Q, 10K, etc.).
  • Coordinating audit requests and uploading information to SharePoint intranet site.
  • Preparing certain corporate entity financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts receivable reports.
  • Manage credit and collection vendor database (D&B, Experian, NCS Lien Tracker) users and requests.
  • Work with APi’s Controller’s office, FP&A, and subsidiaries to identify inefficiencies in processes, and propose solutions and streamlining.
  • Ensure the monthly close processes run timely and efficiently in all environments.
  • Assist with maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Analyze company policies, procedures, and practices to identify opportunities to achieve maximum productivity and profitability while maintaining a strong internal control environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting and 1-3 years’ experience.

Computer Skills:

List of computer programs that are required to perform the essential duties of this job:

 Must have intimate knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs including Outlook Email and have the ability to perform high-level function in them.  Able to learn to use the current in-house accounting system, WebApps, Microsoft Dynamics AX, and OneStream.
