We are currently seeking a Global Travel Manager. This position is responsible for providing strategic insight and guidance to support the travel program in addition as well as accountability for operations and support to the business. This includes managing the Travel Management Company, driving operational excellence while ensuring that agreed upon services are delivered, and holding them accountable to the set service level agreements. This role will ensure operational excellence in supporting APi Group and its operating companies by driving initiatives to improve the overall program. This person will also manage vendor relationships with our travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, car, and ancillary travel services) ensuring the highest level of services are being delivered

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop, provide oversight, and direct management of the day-to-day operations relating to company travel.
  • Leads relationship with the company appointed Travel Management Companies.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for travel tools such as Concur or other related tools.
  • Update and ensure that updated travel policy and procedures and system changes are communicated to the company in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work directly with People and Finance organizations on travel messaging and training for employees.
  • Communicate, educate, and drive continuous improvement of the travel and expense program.
  • Liaison (or lead) global office travel administrators.
  • Establish solid relationships with travel vendors and schedule quarterly reviews to accurately measure usage/expense while developing a corporate savings program beneficial to both parties.
  • Direct oversight and review of travel credit card reconciliations.
  • Lead company event planning in conjunction with identified partners.
  • Transition newly acquired companies to the corporate travel program.
  • Lead efforts for duty of care and travel crisis response.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Five plus (5+) years of experience leading corporate travel and event management services.
  • Knowledge with the automated travel systems such as Concur
  • Strong negotiation skills for travel related partnerships (air, hotel, and car programs).
  • Experience planning and executing company meetings and events in partnership with internal and external parties.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and experience in analyzing travel spend and cost savings.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with varying levels throughout the company.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
