Farrell Roofing, a commercial roofing company with a location in Erie, PA, has an immediate opening for a Warehouse/Yard Worker.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload shipments of roofing material, sheet metal and equipment to jobsite.
  • Ensure that all shipments are handled in a safe manner.
  • Communicate with and involve the foreman when pulling and loading equipment to be sent to jobsites.
  • Keep material/inventory stored in an orderly manner. Repackage material if necessary.
  • Keep company warehouses and grounds clean and free of trash; empty trash containers, sweep floors and dispose of unusable materials.
  • Inform manager when disposable items need to be replaced such as rags, brushes, brooms, rollers and frames, etc.
  • Perform annual inventory counts.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Is Someone Who:

  • Is detail -oriented with an aptitude for doing things right the first time
  • Has strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Has strong record keeping skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • High School diploma preferred. 
  • Experience in a construction warehouse environment preferred.
  • Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
  • Small engine repair experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse operations.
  • Previous experience in warehousing.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be eligible for employment in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
