This position supports all aspects of corporate risk management functions globally. Primary responsibilities will be the day-to-day leadership of enterprise risk management efforts, with focus on our insurance procurement, claims management and the overall development of team members in support of our enduring purpose.  

Responsibilities:  

•    Provide coaching and leadership development opportunities to direct reports.
•    Assist VP of Risk & Real Estate with the evaluation of enterprise risk for APi and all operating companies globally.
•    Assist VP of Risk & Real Estate with the development and setting of overall strategy for insurance program structure, procurement, and claims management globally. 
•    Lead renewal and procurement of insurance coverage efforts globally. 
o    Lead, in partnership with the Senior Risk Analyst, communication of all insurance renewal results with APi and operating company leadership.
o    Collaborate with operating company leadership and broker to procure specialized coverage when needed.
•    Co-lead insurance underwriter meeting presentations with VP of Risk & Real Estate.
•    Work in partnership with Senior Risk Analyst in completion of renewal applications and data collection.
•    Collaborate with broker in annual review of insurance coverages to eliminate potential gaps. 
•    Assist Senior Risk Analyst in annual audit of insurance exposures and premiums. 
•    Review and maintain insurance schedules and policies.
•    Lead in selection of broker, TPA, and any other vendor relationships.
•    Evaluate jurisdictional claims exposures, assist in educating operating companies of those exposures and collaborate in finding solutions to mitigate.
•    Manage relationship and contract renewals with claims TPA and associated vendors.
•    Evaluate and manage TPA services and report on savings or missed savings opportunities and open items.
•    Manage, in collaboration with our brokers, all broker open items list.
•    Evaluate our ability to provide bonding under the terms and conditions specified in contract documents. 
•    Assist Senior Claims Analysts to provide strategic claim support regarding insurance coverage issues.
•    Assist APi operating companies in OCIP/CCIP enrollments and deductions.
•    Assist VP of Risk & Real Estate on acquisition due diligence and provide recommendations to APi Executive Leadership on inclusion into APi insurance program.
o    Lead onboarding of acquisitions into APi Enterprise Risk Management programs.
•    Participation, in support of Senior Risk Analyst, in building RMIS functionality.
•    Prepare and deliver educational program development and training of APi Group operating companies in insurance and contractual risk.
•    Review and provide guidance on insurance requirements in contracts and agreements for operating companies as needed.
•    Participation in and/or lead other risk management initiatives at direction of VP of Risk & Real Estate.
•    Supervises direct reports. Specifics TBD depending on qualifications. 
•    Performs other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Qualifications: 

•    Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance related field
•    Minimum 7 years of risk management or insurance experience
•     3+ years of supervisory experience
•    Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
•    Ability to communicate well in standard English, both verbally and in writing
•    Ability to travel; estimated overnight travel is 20%
•    RMIS experience
•    Claims management and leadership of claims teams experience. Global experience a plus.
