Job Description
GEI Consultants is seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage our combined Boston Area offices (Woburn, MA and Franklin, MA). GEI’s Boston Area offices include geotechnical, geostructural, environmental, water resources, and waterfront professionals. The two offices have a dynamic work environment and deliver exceptional service to our clients. The Boston team seamlessly partners with GEI professionals in our offices throughout North America. The successful candidate will be a proven industry leader with the skills needed to lead, manage, and grow a multi-disciplined operation.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide management, business development, technical, and financial leadership.
- Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and initiative in planning, organizing, and guiding the activities of the Boston Area offices.
- Achieve operational objectives for growth and overall performance.
- Coordinate and leverage the Boston Area Leadership Team.
- Lead, support, and manage the Boston Area Division Managers and their teams.
- Provide strategic leadership on key pursuits and initiatives.
- Programmatically maintain a high level of employee engagement in support of retention.
- Drive recruiting efforts with a focus on key strategic hires, walk overs, acquisitions, and the establishment of complimentary services.
- Coordinate with and provide support to other operations across GEI.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 to 20+ years of experience in the engineering and environmental consulting industry with at least 5 to 10+ years of direct role-related experience.
- BS degree in engineering or aligned geosciences, an advanced degree is a plus.
- Previous growth and profit & loss (P&L) responsibilities with proven results.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage others to meet business objectives.
- Strong relationships with existing and potential future clients and teaming partners.
- Known industry leader locally and regionally.
- Ability to coach and mentor others and to build strong relationships.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong commitment to quality and safety.
