The Safety/Claims Management Intern will serve a vital role to maintain the Safety culture within our organization. The primary role is to serve as a resource to assist both our safety and claims teams.

Responsibilities
Safety:
- Assist in the update of company safety handbook
- Support in creating a safety recognition program
- Attend Safety Committee meetings and follow up on action items
- Review & edit project specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP)
- Create and maintain Toolbox Talks
- Assist in developing & editing Job Hazard Analysis forms
- Work with uploading stats, records, incidents into client portals for compliance
- Safety Data Maintenance
- Miscellaneous project support
Claims:
- Claims Data Maintenance
- Run reports to monitor claims
- Process invoices, claims, and provide customer support
- Miscellaneous project support
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and related program software
- Valid auto driver’s license (for travel to job sites or other offices)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle sensitive information with high level of confidentiality
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operations is a plus
Education and Experience
- Pursuing a safety-oriented, engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent
- Experience working in Civil construction or similar field is a plus
