Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Metairie and/or Belle Chase, LA

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements: Site visits required, up to twice a week.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate multi-discipline engineering and design activities.
  • Communicate with clients and third parties regarding project scope, status, and technical interface issues.
  • Provide concise, factual project designs, allowing effective construction/installation.
  • Work with other engineers, designers, construction QA/QC, and contractors.
  • Check drawings and calculations.
  • Visit client sites to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 5 - 15 years of working mechanical engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of project engineer experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience Preferred:

  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Previous plant facilities experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in oil & gas industry.
