Your role as a CCTV Camera Truck Operator is to operate a closed-circuit television truck and utilize robots to televise sewer collection system pipes in accordance with PACP, LACP and MACP standards. This position independently performs skilled and semi-skilled work utilizing advanced technology with closed circuit television (CCTV) equipment to inspect sewer collection and storm-water drainage systems. It will require system data analysis, GIS, organization, Software system operations and computer programming skills. Work duties will also include cleaning and maintenance of sanitary systems as needed.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
Regular and timely attendance at work.

Conducts CCTV mainline (PACP) and push camera (LACP) inspections to develop video and written reports of sewer and storm-water lines and manhole (MACP) conditions.

Repair and maintain the CCTV camera unit including but not limited to communicating with vendors for computer program updates, trouble shoot existing equipment and performs routine camera maintenance.

Understand practical applications of the GIS system.

Work with the GIS data base to input sewer and storm-water CCTV information and check for consistency and accuracy.

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for camera and computer operations and training.

Read and interpret construction drawings and blue prints.

Contribute to team effort by performing other related duties as assigned.

Who YOU Are and What YOU Need:

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screen required as a condition of employment
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces, bend, kneel and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to travel, work weekends and some nights occasionally as needed,
  • Ability to possess or obtain NASSCO’s PACP, LACP, MACP and Confined Space Training certifications
  • Proficient using computers to utilize inspection software, Online maps, Excel, Word, and email
  • Professional and effective communication skills when interacting with coworkers, supervisors, other departments and the general public.
  • Experience is preferred but will train the right candidate.
