TITLE: Construction Project Manager

Role Overview:

Project Manager will be expected to run multiple construction jobs concurrently. You need to have the ability to guide any job from start to finish with a clear understanding of all phases of structural steel erection. Applicant will be expected to communicate with owners, architects, designers, and project officials clearly and professionally regarding all aspects of a job including changes, scheduling, and permits. The ability to anticipate potential problems before they occur is required in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Here are a few of the critical tasks you will be expected to undertake for this position:

  • Direct reporting to Construction Manager and Branch Manager
  • Constantly track and monitor the budget
  • Constantly track and adjust schedule
  • Deliver a construction project on time and on budget.
  • Run a construction job from the start to the final item on the punch list.
  • Identify, create, and deliver change orders for approval
  • Thoroughly understand the scope of work so that change orders can be identified, created, and signed in a timely manner
  • Schedule material deliveries
  • Subcontractor management and scheduling
  • Manage and adjust workforce with Project Superintendent
  • Compile punch lists for all jobs and follow through on all details
  • Communicate with owners, architects, designers, and project officials
  • Regularly visit field construction sites to review project status.
  • Attend scheduled project meetings as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

The following is a list of required or recommended skills:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Construction Experience: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Project Management: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience structural steel erection, fabrication, welding
  • Project Management: 5 years (Preferred)
  • AISC knowledge (Preferred)
