We are seeking an experienced geotechnical engineer to be a leader in our Woburn, Massachusetts (Boston) office and mentor junior staff. Our work includes transportation, building, waterfront, trenchless technology, contractor support, and dam/levee projects. The successful candidate will exhibit a combination of technical and managerial skills in the fields of geotechnical and structural engineering, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working with contractors and government agencies.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Exemplify commitment to technical excellence balanced with client-expectations and satisfaction.
- Serve as a technical leader and mentor.
- Manage the technical, financial, and client relationship aspects of geotechnical projects.
- Serve as a role model of leadership, company culture, and values.
- Prepare proposals for professional services and develop new business in areas of specialty geotechnical services.
- Contribute to strategic planning at the office and regional level.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering a plus.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Experience working on interdisciplinary design teams with the ability to be conversant in a variety of technical fields (e.g., environmental, civil, and structural engineering).
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel on short-term assignments as needed.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
