We are currently seeking a Consolidations Accounting Manager. In this role, you will will lead the consolidation of financial results and the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for APi Group ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC financial reporting, & financial policies.  The individual in this role will interact with colleagues across multiple functions within APi Group’s organization such as FP&A, Tax, Treasury, IA, and business unit controllers.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Review the monthly and quarterly consolidation process for APi Group companies, including profit & loss statements, balance sheet, and cash flows
  • Lead project teams to design and build reporting tools and other capabilities in the organization’s OneStream consolidation software
  • Prepares monthly & quarterly eliminations and foreign currency translation
  • Review any required adjusting entries from prior month
  • Work with business units accounting departments to ensure efficient and timely monthly and quarterly closes and to support operational improvement initiatives
  • Partner with outside auditors and internal accounting team and participate in audit support activities
  • Review all corporate adjusting journal entries in accordance with internal controls
  • Partner with treasury team on foreign exchange analysis
  • Perform run-rate analysis to ensure monthly and quarterly adjustments are in line with current performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on down-stream reporting opportunities impacting close activities
  • Lead Senior Consolidation Accountant in career development
  • Work with global accounting partners and other stakeholders to build and lead a global consolidations department with teams located in shared service centers
  • Analyze consolidated data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed
  • Work alongside the External Reporting team on a quarterly basis to support SEC filings
  • Facilitate and support identification of process improvements
  • Create and foster a positive working environment within and across functional areas

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or related field
  • Nine years or more relevant experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
  • CPA a plus
  • Experience in controllership roles of large public company registrants
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite program
  • Experience with consolidation software, such as OneStream or Hyperion
  • Requires sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
  • Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions with moderate office equipment noise levels

Benefits and Compensation:

The pay range is $99,000 - $149,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on individual and company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.  Some benefits include:
