CYBERSECURITY ANALYST

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will leverage information security tools and data to monitor and reduce organizational risk. You will also collaborate with the IT department for the best possible solutions and most efficient processes to enable the U.S. Engineering team to work smarter and safer. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Utilizes information security tools to understand and mitigate risk.
  • Collects data and prepares status reports on security matters.
  • Analyzes security measures to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Recommends technical methodologies that support functional security best practices.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Helps with preparing and maintains plans on standard operating procedures. 
  • Supports the company wide information security training and awareness program.
  • Updates and documents security controls.
  • Assists and maintains security software.

Education:  

  • Associate’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or information security or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Required Qualifications:
    • 1 - 2 years working experience in security.
    • 1+ year experience administering vulnerability scanning or other security tools is desired.
    • CompTIA A+ and Security + or equivalent required.
    • Working knowledge of incident response and handling as well as intrusion detection methods and techniques.
    • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, network security methodologies, server and client operating systems.
    • Ability to keep up to date regarding new and emerging IT and cyber security technologies.
    • Demonstrated problem solving, situation analysis, and trouble-shooting skills.

Physical and/or travel demands:  

  • Frequent use of computer, including keyboarding, viewing monitor, etc.
  • Travel as required to conferences and continuing education.
  • Occasional day trips between construction job sites, offices and manufacturing facilities.
