Job Summary:

Looking to grow our design team with an experienced drafting professional to work the Design division to develop projects from concept through construction.  The types of projects range from water & wastewater, roadways, drainage, land development, and parks and recreation.

Reports to: Project Manager/Design Specialists

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create drawings for all phases of design.
  • Manage and prioritize workload and deadlines for the drafting team
  • Organize, develop, and maintain company CAD standards.
  • Manage continuing education of the drafting team with in-house and outside training.
  • Prepare plans and specifications that satisfy project requirements and client objectives.
  • Manage project budgets and deadlines.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • General understanding of water/wastewater design and/or land development design
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities
  • Additional software experience, preferred, but not required: Plant3D, Infraworks, Autoturn, CADEarth

Education and Experience/Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Drafting specific field, desired but not required.
  • Proven design experience in engineering/construction. Minimum of 10 years of experience.
