We are currently seeking a Communications Manager. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Communications Manager will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team, APi’s executive team, other APi Group departments, as well as individuals from our family of companies. You will help develop, expand, and maintain communication from APi Group.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

To include, but not limited to the following:

  • Proactively identify and develop messages and content, working closely with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, to promote and amplify initiatives that inform, educate, and inspire target audiences
  • Develop, implement, and maintain content management strategy, governance, and guidelines for the company intranet, iNSIDE APi, (on Microsoft SharePoint platform)
    • Partner with Employee Services and IT on the Intranet Strategy Team
  • Create engaging content in various mediums and manage delivery via our digital workplace platform and messaging tools to ensure communications are targeted for audiences
  • Have an innovative mindset to continuously bring new ways of communicating to APi Group and our family of companies
  • Work with Communications Coordinator to develop regular communications for internal and external audiences in collaboration with various departments and operating companies
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment on key messaging
  • Translate business results into high-quality talking points, content, and speeches for senior level executives
  • Develop relationships and work effectively with APi Group departments and family of companies
  • Partner with subject matter experts to create narratives, messaging, and other communications materials
  • Be a continual learner of new marketing trends, innovative channels, and best practices
  • Assist APi Group companies with general messaging and communications support for customer-facing pieces, company leader memos, and other items

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, public relations, or related field
  • 5+ years of communications experience
  • Experience working with senior level executives

Competencies and Skills: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Polished presentation abilities
  • Ability to write and edit content quickly for a variety of audiences
  • High computer literacy with capabilities including email, Office, PowerPoint and related business and communication tools
  • Ability to self-start, be flexible, and prioritize on a day-to-day basis, as well as handle rolling deadlines and last-minute requests and changes
  • Confidence working directly with senior executives
  • Navigate translations
