Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
Position Type: Full-time
Location: Mandeville or Metairie office
Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits may be required.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate multi-discipline engineering and design activities.
- Communicate with clients and third parties regarding project scope, status, and technical interface issues.
- Provide concise, accurate project designs, allowing effective construction/installation.
- Work with other engineers, designers, construction QA/QC, and contractors.
- Manage discipline budgets when in a lead role.
- Provide guidance to other engineers.
- Check drawing and calculations.
- Visit client sites to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions as needed.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 10+ years of working experience.
- 2+ years of lead engineer experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
- Attention to detail.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Experience Preferred:
- P.E. license is strongly preferred.
- Experience in hydraulics and/or pipe stress is strongly preferred.
- Previous plant facilities experience.
- Previous experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Familiarity with API 14C.
