Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Project Engineer to work onsite at a client facility in the Port Allen area. 

Position Type: Full-time

Location: West Baton Rouge/Port Allen area facility

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary, Plant

Travel Requirements: Occasional 

Responsibilities:

  • Work onsite at a client facility to support development and execution of plant capital projects.
  • Develop multi-discipline project scopes, funding requests, and budgets for project approval.
  • Support engineering & design activities throughout project life cycle.
  • Coordinate with owner and 3rd parties regarding project scope and technical interface issues.
  • Have a grasp for design and construction terminology needed across technical disciplines.
  • Perform engineering calculations as needed.
  • Provide concise, factual, and practical project designs that allow for successful installation.
  • Work with other Engineers, Designers, and Contractors internally and externally.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet the scope, budget, and schedule requirements and responsibly manage any deviations.
  • Generate requisitions for services, materials, and equipment and ensure delivery dates are timely.
  • Monitor field progress during construction phases for adherence to scope.
  • Review invoicing submitted by vendors for accuracy and payment processing.
  • Provide project controls documentation as required within the client's system including project closure.
  • Drive safety across all work and promote safe work practices throughout project delivery.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering (BSME Preferred) from an ABET-accredited program 
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience. 
  • Familiarity with project management principles and performance metrics.
  • Ability to make field trips.
  • Current TWIC Card or ability to obtain.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience Preferred:

  • Background from similar roles working onsite at plant facilities or supporting projects from the engineering firm office.
  • EIT, PE, or PMP helpful, but not required.
