ASSOCIATE RESEARCH DIRECTOR

Reports to:  Sr. Research Director/Account Executive/Vice President /EVP

Experience:  3 - 6 years in Survey Research

 

Job Summary:

SSRS is seeking an Associate Research Director (ARD) to manage a wide variety of survey research projects, both domestic and international, conducted primarily for our sports and entertainment clients.  The Associate Research Director is responsible for implementation and oversight of all aspects of high-quality survey research including web telephone, mail, in-person, mixed mode, and qualitative studies. The ARD is responsible for the execution of research projects from study initiation through delivery of data and reporting. The ARD designs and estimates projects and writes proposals, generally working with the Account Executive. The ARD helps manage, maintain, and grow existing clients and oversees all work involved in successful project execution.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a variety of activities critical to survey research, including questionnaire design and development; sampling and weighting; telephone, web, and mail data collection; qualitative research; and data analysis/reporting
  • Direct and oversee data preparation, quality control, analysis, and the creation of reports/presentations.
  • Support client relationship development/ongoing communications
  • Monitor progress of data collection to meet goals and troubleshoot issues that emerge
  • Review internal/client project updates and determine course of action
  • Create and/or review final client deliverables, including SPSS files, tabs, and reports 
  • Monitor costs against budget
  • Assist in preparation of papers for presentations/white papers to be used for promotional purposes and marketing
  • Review data for internal logic
  • Prepare client-ready reports in Word and PowerPoint
  • Collaborate with SRD/AE/VP on business development and study design
  • Other duties as the needs of the business dictate

 

Position Requirements:

  • Undergrad degree or higher in social science, business, marketing, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Ability to problem solve/critical thinking
  • Professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization (e.g., graphics/charting)
  • Proficiency with SSPS
  • Ability to lead and direct cross-functional project teams
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience conducting international research and a general knowledge of the complexity of international research is preferred but not required
