OBJECTIVE: The Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting daily business operations.  The Operations Specialist will help carry out important operational duties such as tracking financial information, project reporting, meeting planning and coordination, and other organizational tasks needed to support the organization’s daily operations.  To be successful, the Operations Specialist must be organized, detail-oriented and able to manage several tasks simultaneously.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support coordination of programs, projects and activities
  • Help ensure compliance with all relevant requirements for each project
  • Maintain budgets and track expenditures/transactions
  • Maintain a reporting calendar to ensure all reports are submitted on a timely basis
  • Schedule, organize, and develop agendas for meetings and events
  • Collect and maintain files, documents, and other paperwork
  • Foster positive relationships with external partners
  • Create spreadsheets and presentations

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help with communications regarding various projects
  • Keep updated records and create reports
  • Help with developing new grant proposals
  • Support growth and program development
  • Assist other functional areas in the organization as needed
  • Perform other organizational support duties as needed

TRAVEL

  • This position requires occasional travel. Most travel is limited to the local area but may require some overnight stays.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED

PREFFERED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in similar positions
  • Associate degree in business or related field is an advantage
