Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Manager to lead our Houston team.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Houston, TX

Work Environment: Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises and mentors staff.
  • Overall technical responsibility for all discipline activities.
  • Responsible for orienting all new employees of the department.
  • Coordinates resource/staffing requirements with project teams, including participation in weekly internal staff meetings and weekly inter-office conference calls.
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring discipline personnel.
  • Evaluates technical requirements on projects and supports proposal activities with internal engineering cost and AFE estimates.
  • Prepares detailed engineering design in accordance with engineering practice within applicable codes, regulations, and restriction.
  • Communicates with client, engineers, and design team; prepares estimates of planning, design work, and required resources.
  • Reviews project scoping documents, including design basis and deliverable registry.
  • Coordinates discipline-specific technical training and development, including mentoring and technical support.
  • Responsible for evaluating all employees of the department.
  • Responsible for salary administration for the department.
  • Responsible for assigning work and staffing projects.
  • Overall responsibility for discipline QA/QC, including technical discipline audits as required.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering from ABET institution
  • 10+ years of working experience
  • Previous personnel management experience
  • Previous project schedule and budget management experience.
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate
  • Attention to detail

Experience Preferred:

  • P.E. license
