We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to work in our collaborative team environment in our downtown Milwaukee corporate headquarters office. Remote work opportunities may also be considered. Projects include a wide variety of new commercial buildings in the areas of healthcare, education, multi-family, hospitality, industrial, and office, as well as analysis of existing buildings and renovation projects. Every project brings a new puzzle that requires creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This position offers the opportunity to become part of a well-established structural group.
As a Senior Structural Engineer at GRAEF, enjoy responsibilities that include:
- Project oversight including setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management, as well as hands-on involvement in the design process.
- Project engineering and management, client management, presentations, and client development activities.
- Development of proposals and tracking potential projects and clients.
We are considering Senior Structural Engineer candidates to join our team who possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree with a structural emphasis preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural design of buildings.
- Project Management experience is required.
- Professional registration as a PE. SE registration is a plus.
- Staff management and proven leadership experience preferred.
- The ability to serve as a technical structural resource for a multi-disciplined team.
- Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
- Experience in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, client development, project tracking and proposal development.
- Professional technical society involvement is preferred.
