Lobar, Inc. is seeking an experienced full-time salaried Project Manager to manage a wide range of General Construction projects from start to finish, ranging in size from $1M to $50M. Successful candidates will need to be extremely organized and reliable with a strong attention to detail and initiative.

This position is based at our satellite office located in Emmaus, PA. The work schedule is flexible between the hours of 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM M-F. However, this position is salaried and at times warrants extended hours to meet deadlines. Though remote work can be granted when needed, the expectation is for this position to be in office or traveling to project sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, identify, and forecast all potential costs associated with project budget and deviations from estimate
  • Strategize potential cost saving initiatives to maximize profit while maintain ethical and safe business practices
  • Develop, manage and maintain the construction CPM schedule
  • Evaluate and execute management of the Project Estimate, including jobs costing, AP invoice approvals, preparing schedule of values and billings to Owner
  • Identify long-lead time material and equipment and strategize solutions to overcome potential setbacks to project timeline
  • Analyze and execute all Contract related responsibilities and deadlines typical for a General Construction Contract and the Lead Contractor role
  • Communicate and negotiate with Subcontractors, Suppliers, Owners, Architects, Construction Managers, Government Agencies and Prime Contractors
  • Implement quality control assurance. Maintain all on-site inspection staff to observe all work and insure that work is in complete compliance with the contract requirements.  Assist in the scheduling and arrangement of necessary meetings with all Vendors and Subcontractors.
  • Monitor material approvals, delivery dates, and installation schedules.
  • Manage submittal, RFI, change order and all associated project related documents
  • Process monthly invoicing and quarterly projections by required dates
  • Approve all material and subcontract invoices prior to payment

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years Construction Project Management. Preferably in hard bid, multi-prime, and/or public funded market
  • Must be fluent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Well-organized and high attention to detail
  • Energized by independent work
  • Resourceful – willing and able to connect and communicate to find the answer
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team and recognize interconnected tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding work ethic with high standard for quality of work
  • Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage varied tasks
  • Must be able to maintain yearly background clearances under Act 151, 34, 114, 24 and 168. All required to work in the PA school district (and/or state specific clearances)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with Lobar, Inc’s Fleet Operations Policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Construction related discipline
  • Experience with Project Management software (P6)
  • Experience with job cost accounting software (i.e. Timberline, Procore or similar)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
