Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals over 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license for our Caregiver positions.  The positions pay $10.50/hour and hours are very flexible.  Positions are available on the north shore and the south shore of the New Orleans region and in group home and client home settings.

Volunteers of America serves people and communities in need and creates opportunities for people to experience the joy of serving others.

As Caregiver, you will:

• Serve as a companion to clients.
• Teach clients life skills.
• Help clients with housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes, and tidying up.
• Maintain clients’ dignity by assisting them with bathing and dressing.
• Assist with prepare food with clients.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to pass a criminal history background screen.

Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time the offer of employment is made.
