Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed door and hardware estimates for commercial construction projects.

Essential Functions:

• Analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other supporting documents to gain a thorough understanding of the project
• Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product, in order to prepare material and cost estimates for the product or service, and labor estimates for any project
• Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors, which can include work lunches, after work events, and out of office meetings
• Managing bids from many vendors and contractors, and using the bid data to prepare your detailed cost analysis
• Presenting prepared estimates, estimated cost vs. detailed cost, and other reports to management and other stakeholders
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Continually updating technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications

Qualifications:

• Previous commercial door and hardware experience
• Experience using Comsense (or similar estimating software) is preferred
• Very detail oriented, organized, great with math, and self-driven
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and other supporting documents
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently
