ABOUT THE ROLE
The IT Intern helps advance the mission, vision, values, and goals of the organization by providing support to our Information Technology department.

This role will primarily focus on supporting new users, monitoring hardware inventory and storage. 

Located in Renton, WA, this unpaid internship reports to the IT Systems Administrator.

TYPICAL DUTIES

  • Recommend improvements to existing systems or processes.
  • Set up new computers, mobile devices, and other hard/software for new employees and track assets and distribution of equipment.
  • Provide support to IT staff by answering phones, processing paperwork, and responding to basic user requests.
  • Install operating systems and other computer software applications on new computers.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all technology is working properly for the company.
  • Collect, analyze, and store data for use in reports.
  • Support the maintenance of existing computer systems, including troubleshooting problems with hardware and software.
  • Assist with computer network security by scanning for vulnerabilities and viruses.
  • Provide technical support for computer hardware and software issues.
  • Support inventory cleanup and move IT equipment (being able to lift 45 pounds)
