Thern,'s CNC Machine Operator plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Thern’s products. This position will be responsible for helping to produce high quality manufactured products used all over the world.  The successful candidate will setup and operate conventional, special purpose, CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.  

What your day to day activities will be:
•    Perform quality inspections on product.
•    Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
•    Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media 
•    Operate machine to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance, and adjust machine controls as required.
•    Verifies conformance of finished work-piece using measuring and inspection tools.
•    Sets up and operates machine to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
•    Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
•    Demonstrate strong organizational, planning and prioritization ability
•    Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
•    Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision-making skills
•    Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast pace environment.  
•    Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds. 
Preferred Qualifications:

•    Prior machining experience
•    Possess a 2-year tool and die or machining degree
