Description

Provides overall management direction to industrial construction project(s), establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with client, monitors construction status and financial activities

Roles

  • Leads by example

  • Current and knowledgeable of resources and talents in his reporting lines
  • Constantly identifies and analyzes risk and opportunities of project(s)
  • Ensures the project(s) operational strategies are acted upon successfully  
  • Tellepsen point of contact as it relates to project(s)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Profit and/or Loss of large or multiple projects
  • Provides Leadership for all project(s)
  • Participates in contract negotiations (with BD and president)
  • Ensures procedural compliance within Tellepsen policies
  • Leads in presentations of project estimates, budgets, weekly & monthly reviews and schedules
  • Ensure project(s) are in compliance with policies and strategic objectives and bring non-compliance with site-based issues to the prompt attention of the leadership
  • Own the development and monitoring of the Metrics and KPI Performance Program for your project(s)
  • Proactively make recommendations for change and develop implementation strategies for continuous improvements.
  • Proactively monitor implementation of the Safety and Quality Management System (SOP’s, WI’s, Lessons Learned, Best Practices) as they relate to Project(s)
  • Proactively provide leadership for training efforts for key areas within the realm of Project(s) on performance enhancements.

Other Requirements:

  • 5-10 years related experience as a Project/Construction Manager in large industrial construction or 5 years related experience as a Project Coordinator/Engineer or Asst. Proj. Mgr.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Mechanical/Civil Engineering, or Business is preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality
  • Must be very cognitive of safety in order to help maintain Tellepsen’s exemplary safety record
  • Completion of OSHA 30
  • Work related experience equal to that of a bachelor’s degree
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of e-mail usage (i.e., MS Outlook)
