The Human Resources Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and will deliver a professional and consistent administration, support and advisory service to the site.  This role is site based.

What you will do

  • Support the Site HR Leader on any HR related matters through the employee life cycle including areas of performance management, employee relations, and people management/development.
  • Support recruitment process for manufacturing labour, coordinating interviews, contracts of employment, onboarding, etc.
  • Prepare documents and correspondence e.g. housing references, flexible Working, Maternity, Paternity, leavers.
  • Manage absence including sickness.
  • Maintain HR records to ensure they are relevant and up to date. Record and maintain employee data, ensure data quality and up to date information in compliance with data protection laws.
  • Provide adhoc reports upon requests.
  • Provide advice and assistance to line managers and employees on policies, procedures and legislation.
  • Provide analyses and reports as required, e.g. management information on budget and overall performance.
  • Ensure HR matters are handled compliantly, fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
  • Participation in HR projects on behalf of the HR Site Leader.

What you will need

  • 2+ years broad experience within HR Administration function; experience in the pharmaceutical industry within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • BS/BA with a focus on human resources or comparable experience.
  • Understanding of broad-based compensation programs (base/bonus/pension), pay for performance, benchmarking/market data, job evaluation, etc.
  • Well versed in Austrian HR administration, interaction with Austrian authorities, labour laws.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PPT) and HRIS systems.
  • Positive, service-oriented personality with strong self-organization skills, an eye for details and goal-oriented approach to work.
  • German language (speaking and writing), English (speaking and writing).
