Job Summary:
The Director of Oilfield Services (OFS) Fleet Services & Procurement will oversee and maintain the organization’s fleet of fuel automation units, fuel transports, shuttle trucks, and specialized vehicles. Responsible for establishing and administering programs, policies, and procedures, including general and preventive maintenance programs.
Location: Victoria, TX or Kilgore, TX
This position will report directly to the SVP of OFS Operations
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees or delegates responsibility for the day-to-day workflow of the department and staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops schedules and procedures for and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and non-routine repair of all vehicles in the company’s fleet.
- Collaborates with supervisors and staff to manage and reduce expenses such as those for fuel and labor costs.
- Establishes a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles.
- Drafts and presents reports on department operations and expenses.
- Prepares and implements departmental budget.
- Develops and enforces procedures, policies, and safety protocols for all fleet services staff.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of fleet management and operations.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare and adhere to a budget and to monitor and reduce expenses.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Five years of experience in fleet maintenance or repair with two years in a supervisory role required.
- Valid driver’s license. CDL preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to access and navigate fleet parking lot and maintenance facilities.
