Now Hiring – ACCOUNTANT 

ABC is looking for an Accountant to work in our Brigham City office in an innovative and dynamic environment. As an Industrial Contractor with large projects throughout the USA, ABC’s Accounting department is a valuable resource within the company that executes accurate accounting processes that benefit the company as a whole. Specifically working to support and ensure the success of other departments and contribute to a positive interaction with our clientele, with the intent to see them succeed.

Hours: 7:00AM – 3:30PM / M - F

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in pursuit of) in Accounting
  • 1-3 years accounting experience
  • Communicate effectively with others
  • Experience with cash management
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft office products, excel in particular
  • Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Task-oriented self-motivated
  • Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting practices and accounting principles
  • Payroll experience/knowledge a plus
  • Any job costing or construction experience a plus
  • Experience with ABC’s ERP (Sage 300, formerly Timberline) a plus

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

 

  • Assist in all aspects of construction accounting/payroll tasks
  • Process weekly payroll and file all associated taxes
  • Federal and state tax filings: 940’s, 941’s, sales & use tax, etc.
  • Help with annual ACA filings and 1099’s
  • Manage fixed asset/equipment schedule
  • Analyze WIP information and ensure accurate data to include in billing, contract values, change orders, cash receipts, etc.
  • Support accounting department and accounting functions through cross training
