Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Power Electrical Engineer to join our Baton Rouge Team.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required.

Essential Functions:

• Support technical engineering and design of electrical projects within a multi-discipline environment.
• Able to work with a range of low-medium voltage power distribution involving MCCs, VFDs, motor sizing, breakers, disconnects, grounding, lighting, etc.
• Ensure safe work practices are adhered to and follow all site procedures and policies.
• Be able to grasp client standards and requirements for installations as well as adhere to relevant industry codes.
• Interface with client personnel to ensure deliverables details and budget to meet expectations.
• Provide concise, factual project designs, allowing for effective installation.
• Perform power systems analysis, including Arc Flash, using modeling software.
• Work with other disciplines of Engineers and Designers, for deliverables and electrical scope completion.
• Develop electrical systems used in plant facility applications.
• Able to read, interpret, and if necessary, generate electrical and instrument system documentation.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 6+ years of working experience. 
• P.E. License.
• Previous experience working with power distribution projects.
• Background using ETAP or SKM needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
• Attention to detail.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience Preferred:

• Previous experience with power distribution system evaluation/selection.
