Estimator/Project Manager

Summary/Objective

First Rate Excavate, LLC., is a South Dakota based underground sitework & utility contractor. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for estimating, planning, directing, and coordinating activities on designated jobs to ensure that goals and objectives of the job are met in timely manner and within budget.

Roles and Responsibilities:

-Evaluating all bid specifications, drawings, and all related documents to ensure a complete and comprehensive scope of work

-Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site work evaluations

-Sources pricing with suppliers and subcontractors

-Identify labor, material, and time requirements required to perform work

-Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the awarded projects

-Manage and forecast subcontractors, equipment, labor, materials, consumables, and general conditions

-Oversee all job quantity reporting and job labor/equipment reporting along with project billing.

-Monitor and control project through administrative direction of foreman to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget

-Engage in weekly scheduling meetings with other Project Managers to ensure all projects are meeting project deadlines

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

-Bachelor's Degree, vocational training, certification from an accreditation organization, or combination of the schooling and relevant work experience

-Valid Driver's License

Preferred Skills:

-Prior Project Management Experience

-Ability to communicate to others to convey information effectively, either by telephone, in written form, email, or in person

-Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.

-Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints

-Professional in actions and appearance

-Effectively interacts with customers, subcontractors, employees, and assistants

-Strong computer skills

-Self-starter and motivated with minimal supervision

This is a Salaried Position. Pay based on experience.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
