Simon Group Holdings (SGH) is a private equity firm and family office that was established in 1985 with the founding of the Atlas Oil Company. The organization has diverse business interests, including energy solutions, logistics and transportation, technology incubation, fuel supply, real estate, aerospace and defense, oil field services, private equity, and insurance solutions.
SGH is looking for a private equity and investment fund analyst Intern for Summer 2023, to assist in the analyzation of real estate opportunities, specifically focusing on return on investment.
This position is in-person in Birmingham, Michigan. Intern ideally has prior experience computing return on investment, free cash flow analysis, and otherwise doing financial modeling and must be either an Undergraduate Junior or Senior or Recent Graduate in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Duties Include:
- Financial analysis of opportunities for investment
- Aiding in communications with banks, investors, etc. for opportunity growth
- Completing in-depth research on potential areas of investment
Skills That You Have to Bring:
- Mathematically proficient
- Data analysis and research experience, including financial projections and free cash flow analysis
- Written & verbal communication
- Time and project management
- Working knowledge of Excel, including comfort with complex functions, vlookup and pivot tables
