Garrett Electric seeks motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team. Position will lead field leaders and support staff in the successful execution of electrical projects in the commercial, industrial, healthcare, and technology market sectors. Position will manage projects with new and repeat clients, participate in business development, and deliver exceptional customer service. Candidates must be energetic, detail oriented, innovative, and have a track record of bringing teams together to deliver project success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review plans and specifications in detail and understand the constructability of materials and systems.
- Develop project estimates, bids, and proposals for hard bid, negotiated, and time + materials projects.
- Perform design-assist role for negotiated and design-build projects including scope development, budget management, and constructability reviews.
- Read and understand customer contract language, ensure objectives of contracts are met, and deliver on contract obligations.
- Understand and manage the risks and responsibilities of the project.
- Perform project procurement including writing subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Develop and manage project budgets for cost tracking. Understand, evaluate, and track project extras and change orders. Forecast project financial and productivity performance.
- Partner with field leaders to understand and execute work according to customer schedules. Evaluate changes in the project which may impact the project schedule, adjust tasks, and remove constraints.
- Prepare and evaluate reports as it relates to the quality assurance of the project.
- Work with field leaders and Safety Manager to develop and monitor the site specific safety plan.
- Oversee all communication, document control, time management, customer service, client and team interaction, and workflow.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Resolve construction conflicts and issues that arise.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Create official correspondence.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years construction management experience
- Proven track record for delivering excellent project results
- Professional credentials
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- Option 2: Extensive field leadership experience in the electrical or mechanical trades
- Experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
- Proficient in standard business software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Bluebeam
- Professional written communication skills including proper e-mail etiquette (i.e. grammar, spelling)
- Professional verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical construction experience
- Proficient in project management software including Procore
- Proficient in scheduling software including Microsoft Project
Full time, salary position with a range of $110,000 to $140,000 yearly, medical and dental benefits, 401(k) with an employer contribution of up to 5%, profit sharing and more.
