Position Description

Must be able to Arch Weld(stick) in an ever changing environment, on ground and at heights. Must be able to set up and adjust Oxygen and Acetylene Torch as well as make precise cuts in different materials such as Angle, Pipe, C-channel and rebar.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for taking care of Thompson Provide Safety Gear such as Face shields, FRP Jacket, Striker, Welding Gloves and Harness (if working at heights)
  • Employee is responsible for providing – Personal Welding Hood, Chipping Hammer, Pouches, Speed Square and Tape Measure. Thompson will provide all other tools of the trade.
  • Employee must be feel comfortable working at heights and on uneven terrane.
  • Job activities may involve helping others trades when welding is not required

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand and reach repetitively.
  • Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments
  • 40 or more hours per week with possible weekend work
  • Background check and drug screen based on job location/requirements
