We are seeking an Onboarding and Training Specialist to join our team in either Wichita, Fort Worth or Tulsa. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess current training and development needs through surveys, interviews with employees and consultations with managers.
  • Creates, organizes, plans and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
  • Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts to ensure a transfer of knowledge and philosophy to employees that meets departmental and organizational goals.
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events, opportunities and resources.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Maintains latest trends in training and development and periodically evaluates programs.
  • Assists with new hire orientation and partners closely with mentors during the first 90-days of the new hire experience.
  • Assists with succession planning and talent management.
  • Coordinates Exit Interviews to ensure continuous improvement.
  • May be asked to perform additional job duties that are directly or indirectly related to normal job functions
  • Performs related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Construction Management or related field a plus.
  • At least 5 years of training experience in the construction industry, experience with a general contractor is preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development programs.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Microsoft product experience is required.
  • Ability to travel is a must and a Valid Driver's License is required.
