This is a full-time position & the Salary ranges from $60,000 a year. American Thermal Systems offers 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Project Manager is an exempt role responsible for assisting Project Managers and Cost Manager with organizing, monitoring, scheduling, and executing complex construction projects in a fast-paced environment. The purpose of this position is to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and to ATS and ATS client’s standards. This position reports to the Project Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist Project Manager and Cost Manager on their designated team
  • Draft schedule and make adjustments as needed
  • Coordinate schedules, resources, equipment, and information
  • Coordinate materials and equipment to job site or warehouse
  • Tracking project milestones, delivery dates and workflow
  • Assist with coordinating any change to schedule with all parties of a project (customer, vendors, crews, deliveries, etc.)
  • Coordinate safety team for site specific safety plan prior to project kickoff
  • Draft contracts, subcontracts, change orders and purchase orders and distribute after documents are finalized
  • Distribute resale certificates with POs if applicable
  • Draft RFI’s and submittals in Procore
  • Draft Pay Applications and track payments in Procore
  • Requests and management of subcontractor lien waivers
  • Pull timecards and submit to Project Manager for approval
  • Manage project documents and load to Procore
  • Upload approved COIs into Procore
  • Responsible for new job setup in Procore
  • Prepare and submit close out documents
  • Prepare project schedules with Microsoft Project
  • Pull reports from Procore for Project Manager and Cost Manager
  • Assist with Procore training
  • Responsible for booking hotels for field staff as needed
  • Receive equipment and materials at project and site and at ATS warehouse
  • Manage smaller projects under the mentorship of Project Manager
  • Promotes and adheres to the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of ATS 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • 2-3 years of experience in project management
  • Experience using Procore
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of construction terms
  • Proficient computer skills with a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving
  • Positive and encouraging personality
  • Able to work independently or with a team
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask and easily switch between tasks as necessary
  • High integrity and committed to team’s success
  • Must be safety minded and dedicated to achieving and an accident-free work environment by following and encouraging safe working practices on every project

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, will consider years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Microsoft Project experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel 1-2 nights a week when required
  • Ability to visit project sites at any time required
