We are looking for an individual who wants to expand on their academic knowledge to support our consulting firm in the environmental, water resources, and mining practices. The selected candidate will join a team of experienced environmental engineers, mining engineers, and geologists working on a number of complex projects involving property transaction due diligence, contaminated site characterization, brownfield redevelopment, and mining related issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting projects involving environmental due diligence, reviewing historical documents, regulatory data evaluation, field reconnaissance, sampling of environmental media, and preparing technical reports;
- Supporting site characterization and remediation projects;
- Supporting mining resource evaluations, engineering, permit compliance, and closure projects;
- Providing litigation support services;
- Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, and proposals; and
- Developing task, project, and client management skills.
The selected candidate will have technical responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments. Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, the selected candidate would also be expected to play a role in supporting lead generation, business development, proposal preparation, staff development, and mentoring. The selected candidate will also be encouraged to help broaden our reputation via publishing technical papers and visibility at prominent industry conferences.

Based on your current level of experience, you may be asked to take on task-level or project management responsibilities, along with business development, and staff management and mentoring tasks.

- Training: This position requires OSHA/MSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including technical conferences, in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
- Fieldwork: Up to 50%
- Overnight travel: Up to 20%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental studies, earth science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D) in environmental engineering, geology, or other environmentally related degree. (preferred)
- Geologist or Engineer In Training or similar type of professional certification in your field. (preferred)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills. (required)
- Knowledge of Nevada and US EPA environmental regulatory requirements or willingness to learn regarding environmental compliance, investigations, and clean up. (required)
- Prior experience in a consulting position or environment. (preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Office products. (required)
- Experience with GIS and databases. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, work independently, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
