Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
• Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.  
• Adjust/Adapt production schedule according to align with established priorities, and available capacity of labor, materials, and equipment.
• Optimize production output, machine capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards.  
• Accountable for production output, product quality and on-time shipping. 
• Execute strategies in alignment with key initiatives and provide staff members a clear sense of direction and focus.  
• Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions as required.
• Work with cross functional teams and develop successful outcomes based on trust and mutual respect.
• Develop, lead and recruit production team members.
• Collect and analyze data to identify waste and implement improvement initiatives.
• Utilize systems and processes to optimize productivity and established standards/metrics to ensure effective return on assets.
 
Manager Responsibilities:
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining employees; enforcing company policies and procedures addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 
Qualifications: 
 
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to balance both team and individual responsibilities.  Can communicate clearly and persuasively in both positive or negative situations using verbal or written skills.  Can manage difficult or emotional situations by soliciting feedback and focusing on resolving the issue rather than placing blame.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and be able to utilize Microsoft Office products.
 
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Operations Management (or similar) from a four-year college or university, plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or industrial field.
