Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an experienced I/E Designer to join our team.

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required
Essential Functions:
- Provide design/drafting on a wide variety of instrumentation/control system/electrical projects
- Work within a design team responsible for the execution of engineering and design packages to be issued for construction
- Work with designers, engineers and other disciplines to develop drawing package content necessary for successful installations
- Assist project engineering and discipline engineers with supporting information during project development/funding stages through final issue for construction
- Perform necessary field research and conduct communications with stakeholders on scope details within the E/I Discipline
- Adapts to Client Standards, Specifications and Procedures which apply to assigned project
- Understands the designs for any system within his/her discipline once design guidelines and system criteria have been established
- Generate accurate and representative design packages using AutoCAD Plant 3D and utilization of 3D Models
- Coordinate with other design disciplines to align with the overall project scope
- Maintains and keeps organizing a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during the design for his/her discipline for an assigned project
- Reviews drawings within his/her discipline for assigned project on a regular basis for completeness, overall quality, and adherence to standards
- Ensures all drawings within his/her discipline for assigned project have been properly checked and backchecked
- Provide experience and skills to assist technical staff and other E/I designers with helpful input that ensures a team effort delivery on projects

Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED (Graduate from an ABET-accredited program - Preferred)
- 10-15 years of experience in consulting engineering office positions and/or plant facility assignments
- Understanding of instrumentation/electrical systems and installation details for industrial applications
- Ability to make field trips and participate in project meetings
- Ability to help determine design manhour requirements to support deliverables estimates
- Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCad Plant 3D, Navisworks & Microsoft Office
- Current TWIC Card needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate
- Team Player and willing to assist with helping other staff
