We are seeking a career driven Project Manager to join our team in Waco!

JOB DESCRIPTION:  

This individual will project manage the fire alarm system scope for commercial, and industrial buildings. He or she will monitor and track the budget, progress, and schedule for the contract scope. This individual will be responsible for monitoring deadlines and budget from the point of contract signing to the completion of the project. The Project Manager will have responsibility for the planning of a project including scheduling, billing, tracking material, verifying invoices, combining design and manpower projections. They will be responsible for monitoring deadlines such as turnaround times on change orders, RFI’s to customers, obtaining permit prior to dispatching manpower, and scheduling delivery of the project according to established criteria. Close coordination with the designers, field installers, estimating department, and customers will be required throughout the life of all projects.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS/DUTIES

  • Controls timely communication with customers.
  • Monitor cash position and budget.
  • First point of contact to customer when contract is awarded.
  • Create scope specific schedule based off contract schedules.
  • Promotes internal adherence to schedule and cooperation between departments.
  • Create billing schedule of values from estimate.
  • Verify invoices.
  • Manages cost to complete for designated projects.
  • First point of contact for deliverables – CO pricing, RFI’s, support, submittal status, permit, conflict resolution advice
  • Responsible for team member capacity/project milestone tracking
  • Perform job walks for all assigned projects.
  • Review drawings and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of product.
  • Participate in engineering and general design reviews as required.
  • Prepare acceptance test procedures and assembly instructions.
  • Keep supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of applicable fire alarm experience and/or project management
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Driver License with Clean MVR
  • Working knowledge of computer skills related to position.
  • State of Texas FAL
  • Nicet preferred but not required.
